NITTO OPTICAL has been engaged for many years in research and development of optical technology and in supplying products in the consumer area, such as projectors, cameras, and optical pickups. For projectors, we have supplied X-cubes (cross dichroic prisms), for cameras, pentaprisms, and for optical pickups, beam splitters and diffraction gratings. These areas are closely related to many aspects of daily life such as imaging, audio, and information processing. In recent years, technological innovations such as integration with AI and IoT, higher definition, miniaturization, and power saving have accelerated, and wearable devices are being announced and released by various device manufacturers. The needs of users in this field are diversifying and advancing rapidly, and optical technology plays a central role in this progress.
