Nitto Optical promotes environmentally conscious business operations and is working toward carbon neutrality for the realization of a sustainable society.
01. Switched electricity use to effectively 100% renewable energy
As part of promoting environmentally conscious business operations and initiatives toward the realization of a sustainable society, in May 2024 Nitto Optical switched the electricity used at all five domestic sites to effectively 100% renewable energy.
02. Participation in the “Renewable Energy 100 Declaration RE Action”
Nitto Optical has participated in the “Renewable Energy 100 Declaration RE Action.”
The “Renewable Energy 100 Declaration RE Action” is a collaborative action for small and medium-sized enterprises, aligned with RE100, the international initiative that aims to convert electricity used in business activities to 100% renewable energy.
Going forward, Nitto Optical will continue to introduce renewable energy and, in order to promote carbon neutrality together with our procurement partners, we will place consideration for the environment at the core of our business activities and work proactively toward the realization of a sustainable society.

03.CO2 Reduction Targets
Nitto Optical will reduce CO2 emissions from business activities by 50% in FY2030 compared to FY2025.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions will be reduced to 0% by FY2030.
Scope 3 emissions will be calculated and reduced.
